Dear Bitunix Users,
When you open Bitunix exchange to place a trade, what you want is simple. You want the platform to be fast, stable, and reliable. Most importantly, you want to know that your assets are protected and that the exchange is doing the work behind the scenes to manage risk properly. We have always built Bitunix with that responsibility in mind, and we have steadily added layers of protection as the platform has grown.
Today, we are sharing a major step forward in that journey. Bitunix has completed a dual security infrastructure upgrade by integrating Fireblocks and implementing Elliptic KYT. This Bitunix security upgrade is designed to elevate Bitunix exchange security from strong retail protection to an institutional grade standard, while strengthening Bitunix compliance and risk control across the platform.
Fireblocks strengthens institutional grade custody and MPC wallets, taking our existing security to the next level. Elliptic strengthens real time AML and KYT monitoring, improving compliance visibility and risk control. The result is stronger security and compliance for all users, and a more robust foundation for institutional and high net worth clients who demand top tier safeguards.
Fireblocks Custody Integration Strengthens Institutional-Grade Digital Asset Custody
Protecting assets starts with custody. That is why Bitunix has integrated Fireblocks custody infrastructure, a system widely used across institutional environments. At the heart of this integration is Fireblocks MPC, which uses Multi Party Computation, often described as an MPC wallet model. Instead of relying on a single private key, MPC distributes key control across secure components. This makes unauthorized access significantly harder and strengthens the way sensitive custody actions are governed.
What matters is not only the technology, but what it changes in practice. With Fireblocks, Bitunix security is elevated through stronger operational controls, including structured approvals and multi layer authorization for high risk operations. That means custody actions follow defined policies, oversight is strengthened, and the overall custody workflow becomes more resilient at scale. This is not a replacement of existing protections. It is a step up that strengthens our ability to safeguard assets under more demanding conditions.
Alongside custody improvements, Bitunix now benefits from total insurance coverage of 42.5 million dollars, including digital asset crime insurance and additional protections designed to reduce exposure to certain operational risks. This expanded coverage provides an additional safeguard against rare but serious incidents. In addition, Bitunix maintains an extra 5 million dollar insurance policy with Nemean Services as part of our broader protection framework.
Elliptic KYT Strengthens Bitunix AML Monitoring, KYT Crypto Oversight, and Compliance Risk Control
A secure exchange also needs visibility. Risks move quickly on chain, and strong custody must be matched with strong monitoring. That is why Bitunix has implemented Elliptic KYT to strengthen Bitunix KYT capabilities and support a more robust approach to Bitunix AML and Bitunix compliance.
KYT, meaning Know Your Transaction, enables KYT crypto monitoring by supporting real time crypto transaction monitoring across on chain activity. In plain terms, this helps us identify risk signals tied to suspicious wallet interactions and respond faster when transactions require review. With Elliptic KYT in place, Bitunix can detect patterns associated with higher risk activity, including funds linked to darknet related sources, stolen assets, fraud associated flows, high risk counterparties, and sanctioned entities. These capabilities strengthen anti-money laundering controls and reinforce crypto compliance across the platform.
Together, Fireblocks and Elliptic form a dual layer framework that elevates Bitunix security and strengthens Bitunix exchange security where it matters most: digital asset custody and compliance risk control. This Bitunix security upgrade is a concrete step in our long term Security and Transparency Strategy, and it reflects the standard we want Bitunix to be known for, not only today, but years from now.
“We have partnered with several security providers, but the collaboration with Fireblocks and Elliptic reconfirms our top priority: user protection. We want users to be safe when using our exchange,” said Steven Gu, Chief Security Officer at Bitunix.
This upgrade also builds on a broader security program. In addition to Fireblocks, Bitunix works with trusted custodians such as Cobo Custody, and we conduct frequent audits through firms such as Hacken and Salus, alongside our existing insurance arrangements. We view these measures as ongoing commitments because behind every account is a real person and behind every balance is something you worked for.
Thank you for being part of Bitunix and for continuing to hold us to a high standard. We will keep strengthening our systems, improving our processes, and building a platform you can rely on with confidence.
Warm regards,
The Bitunix Team
